CEPA Case StudySPAN is implementing its Octane software to help improve pipeline safety through enhanced data collection and analysis

CEPA collects pipeline performance information from its members to support industry-wide collaboration and improvement. Integrity First assessment results and pipeline performance indicators are the two main sources of information used by CEPA and its members. This information was managed using email, spreadsheets and localized databases. CEPA is integrating all data collection, analysis and reporting into Octane; a single, secure application accessible to CEPA and all members.

“Our member companies were concerned that their information could be unsecure, and we were concerned we couldn’t scale up our systems as our programs grow; we are solving both by implementing Octane” - Patrick Smyth, VP, Performance, Canadian Energy Pipeline Association
